Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations within a busy hospital in Miami, FL. Responsibilities include cart exchanges, answering calls, processing Epic in-basket messages, and restocking medications with accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires Florida pharamacy technician licensure, high school diploma, and hospital experience is preferred. The department emphasizes safety, efficiency, and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician registration/license in Florida required; national cert (CPhT) preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cart exchanges.
• Answers pharmacy telephone/window inquiries in a timely manner (phone etiquette).
• Processes nursing messages from Epic in-basket.
• Manages medication dispensing and restocking to storage areas.
• Restocks automated dispensing cabinets and communicates shortages.
• Reports stock issues to Pharmacist/Buyer.
• Restocks/picks/delivers crash cart trays per policy.
• Complies with hospital time and attendance policies.
