Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Your home base will be 410 S 5th St., Mankato, MN 56001, with coverage at 309 Holly Lane, Mankato, MN. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with lunch 12:30pm–1:00pm.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Minnesota.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Manages inventory: orders, receives and stores pharmacy supplies.
• Processes wholesaler medication orders and enters data to maintain records.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state requirements in pharmacy operations.
• Performs clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Other duties as assigned.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Location Address

Your home base will be 410 S 5 th St., Mankato, MN 56001, but you will be asked to cover at the other Mankato site to help with coverage when needed. The site is located at 309 Holly Lane, Mankato, MN.

Schedule

Monday- Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies and inventory
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Minnesota or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date
• Access to reliable transportation
