Guardian Pharmacy in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I to support accurate and timely prescription filling for delivery to customers.

Under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, you will verify patient information, assemble orders, label medications, maintain inventory, and comply with all laws and policies. This role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related pharmacy experience or technical experience.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
  • Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into bins accurately and timely.
  • Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.
  • Participate in training to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.
  • Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication for all orders.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with cycle counts or physical inventory.

Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, this role is responsible for filling and packaging prescriptions accurately and timely for delivery to customers.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
  • Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into appropriate bins accurately and timely.
  • Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.
  • Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.
  • Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles and keeping inventory neat and arranged in order; may assist in physical inventory.
  • Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.

Education and Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)
