Qualifications

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Technician role based in Huntington, West Virginia. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists with processing and filling prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities include managing medication inventory, handling refills, preparing and labeling prescriptions, and maintaining organized work areas. The role also involves supporting patients and clinical partners with prompt, respectful customer service, answering basic medication-related questions within scope, and helping coordinate care activities. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacy and clinical staff to support safe, discreet medication delivery and efficient operations.

• Candidates should possess skills related to pharmacy operations, such as knowledge of pharmacy procedures, regulations, and collaboration with pharmacists.
• Candidates should possess skills specific to pharmacy technician duties, including supporting dispensing activities, labeling, and maintaining documentation.
• Candidates should possess skills in inventory control, including tracking stock levels, rotating inventory, and identifying discrepancies.
• Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle sensitive situations respectfully, and support patients and providers professionally.

• Current pharmacy technician certification (e.g., PTCB or equivalent) or eligibility to obtain certification within a specified timeframe, as required by state regulations.
