Job summary

Engelhard Medical Center Pharmacy, part of Ocracoke Health Center, Inc., located in Engelhard, NC, seeks a friendly Pharmacy Technician for a Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm schedule. Pay ranges from $15 to $17 per hour.

Join a mission-driven team providing compassionate care and in-house pharmacy services to coastal communities. You will greet patients, process prescriptions, maintain organized workflows, and utilize pharmacy software to handle insurance claims.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old and legally allowed to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person and on the phone with warmth and professionalism.
• Enter data, prepare medications, and label/package with care and accuracy.
• Keep supplies stocked, manage files, and help maintain a smooth workflow.
• Use pharmacy software to handle prescriptions and insurance claims.
• Collaborate with team and take on other duties as needed.

Engelhard Medical Center Pharmacy, a part of Ocracoke Health Center, Inc., is a nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our coastal communities. With locations in Ocracoke, Manteo, and Engelhard, we offer primary care, behavioral health, pediatrics, in-house pharmacies, and support for migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Our mission is to be a respectful, accessible, and comprehensive medical home for all.

Location: Engelhard, NC
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9:00am–5:00pm

Pay: $15–$17/hour

What You'll Do:
