Detroit Medical Center is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and delivering medications. Responsibilities include maintaining sterile environments and managing medication inventory. Candidates must have a High School Diploma and a Pharmacy Technician license in Michigan.

Under the direction and final check of a licensed pharmacist, prepare, package and label IV and unit dose medications, card for both interim and maintenance orders, according to prescriber orders and established policies and procedures. Utilize mathematical calculations to ensure accuracy, maintain a sterile environment, and deliver floor stock medication, patient‑specific medication, emergency boxes and crash cart trays to patient care areas. May process and deliver controlled substances to patient care areas while maintaining appropriate inventory and documentation. Collect and return medication orders and unused or expired medications from patient care areas to the pharmacy for proper processing. Perform related charge functions and respond to requests and inquiries from hospital employees and customers, providing appropriate information regarding medication orders. Perform other duties as assigned.
