Job summary

Optum is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Cranberry Township team. You will retrieve medications, count and package orders, maintain workstation inventories and assist with pharmacist review to ensure accuracy.

This role requires an active PhT license, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and the stamina to stand for most of the shift. The position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

As aPharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for retrieving medication from stock, counting and packaging orders for pharmacist review, maintaining workstations with adequate supplies, removing outdated products from shelves, assisting with inventory replenishment, and maintaining par levels of pre-packaged auxiliary items. Occasionally you may be asked to reach out to patients for customer service calls as well as making inquiries on orders shipped.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Process and fill prescription orders in preparation for pharmacist verification
• Some packing and shipping of completed prescription orders to patients
• Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units
• Replenish workstation supplies for filling prescriptions as needed (includes vials, caps, labels, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted State or NHA PhT license
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks
• Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
• ATP packaging experience
• Experience navigating throughMicrosoft Office Suite
• Has previously worked or is currently working as a contractor placed at UHG or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
