The role involves accurate data entry, inventory tasks, HIPAA compliance, and assisting with insurance claims while providing courteous patient service. Prior pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
• Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system
• Measure, count, label, and package medications
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and directing inquiries appropriately
• Process insurance claims and handle billing issues
• Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired medications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with medication prior authorizations and refill requests
• Follow all federal, state, and company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.

The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. Schedule Requirements
