Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Pharmacy/Pharmacist, the employee performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. Responsibilities include maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data using the computer system, preparing medications, filling the automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications, procuring and fulfilling requests for pharmaceutical supplies, and delivering supplies to nursing units.
