Responsibilities

• Assist central pharmacists and technicians in delivering medications and pharmaceutical products under supervision.
• Document and update pharmaceutical records in automated dispensing systems.
• Communicate with pharmacy staff and nurses regarding medication needs.
• Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Participate in drug delivery processes and develop departmental procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Read and understand instructions for product preparation and interpret operational reports.

Location & Schedule

Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD

Rotating shifts: 6:30am – 3pm and 2:30pm – 11pm, including every other weekend.

Pay Range

$18 - $22 per hour

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an external pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy routines, terminology, medication names, and aseptic techniques.
• 6 months of hospital experience preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
• Maintain continuing education requirements and MD Pharmacy Registration.
