Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of the UnitedHealth Group family, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Phoenix mental health pharmacy. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, at 8804 N 23rd Ave, Phoenix, AZ. Eligibility requires AZ pharmacy tech license or trainee license with 60 days to obtain.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in AZ or able to obtain Trainee Technician License within 60 days of employment.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to work onsite at 8804 N 23rd Ave., Phoenix, AZ, Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinics.
• Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of the pharmacist.
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
• Assist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Clear verbal and written communication with colleagues.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours: Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona or an active Trainee Technician License in the state of Arizona or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
• Access to reliable transportation
• Ability to work onsite at 8804 N 23rd Ave. Phoenix, AZ, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
