Job summary

Quadrant, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Anchorage, Alaska. The role requires a licensed Alaska Pharmacy Technician with experience in acute care and/or behavioral health. Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Alaska.
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in acute care or behavioral health.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Technology savvy with ability to use computer systems and EHRs.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery per standards.
• Label products accurately with appropriate cautionary labels.
• Participate in periodic pharmacy inventory and stock management.
• Communicate with customers professionally and support colleagues.
• Input patient data and orders into the computer system and generate labels.
• Follow HIPAA and other government regulations and privacy rules.
• Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining drug inventory.
• Bills and adjudicates prescription claims as needed.
• Use MS Office to generate reports and communicate findings.
• Coordinate with delivery platforms or mail order services as required.
• Assist pharmacists as directed to maintain smooth workflow.

Pharmacy Technician

Pay From: $21 per hour

MUST:

• Experienced Pharmacy Technician
• Must be licensed in Alaska as a Pharmacy Technician
• Must have experience in Acute care and/or behavioral health
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must have strong customer service experience
• Must be technology savvy
• Must have high attention to detail

DUTIES:

Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy
• Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels
• Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy
• Communicates with customers in a pleasant and professional manner
• Inputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
• Package materials and products manually
• Provide a high level of customer service by answering pharmacy phones and responding promptly to the requests of colleagues, patients, nurses, physicians, and hospice personnel
• Contribute to the efficient workflow of the pharmacy by maintaining a high productivity level and an error-free work product
• Accesses medication history within patient electronic records and communicates with providers and health care team through secure EHR systems
• Assists and serves patients
• Assists in the ordering, stocking, and maintenance of drug inventory
• Bills and adjudicates prescription claims
• Ability to use Microsoft office to generate reports that will be presented and communicated within the organization
• Ability to use different platforms to communicate and organize delivery services and/or mail orders
• Assists pharmacists as directed
