Genoa Healthcare in Alexandria, LA is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health pharmacy under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. You will dispense prescriptions, handle clerical duties, and help ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.

The role requires an active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license, at least 1 year of retail experience, reliable transportation, and a customer-focused approach. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

• 1+ year of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff.
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under supervision.
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Process wholesale medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and maintain inventory records in the computer.
• Assist Pharmacist to keep pharmacy compliant with federal and state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in verbal and written form.

We seek aPharmacy Technicianto support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm CT

Primary Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of previous Retail Pharmacy Technician experience within the last 5 years

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
