Meijer Inc. in New York State is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our customer-focused pharmacy team. You will dispense prescriptions, verify insurance, and deliver exceptional service while maintaining patient confidentiality.

You’ll promote pharmacy initiatives, input data in the dispensing system, and support day-to-day operations with accuracy and teamwork. A valid state license and retail/community practice experience are preferred.

Formación

• High School/GED is required.
• Must be registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Interact with patients at service points.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input customer and prescription information into the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and stock shelves.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain an organized, clean pharmacy environment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

What You'll be Doing

• Level 2 Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.

• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Licensed in their respective state if required.
• Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
