Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a friendly pharmacy team member in Michigan to provide exceptional customer service and support patient care at our pharmacy locations.

You will input prescription data, prepare labels, and help manage insurance claims while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. This role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and teamwork, with opportunities for education assistance, development programs, and a team discount as part of our Meijer Rewards.

Qualifications

• High School/GED is required.
• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Proficient typing skills and neat penmanship.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain good attendance.
• Basic math skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input customer and prescription information in the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medication from inventory.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medications.
• Maintain an organized, clean pharmacy environment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Licensed in the respective state if required.
• Complete Meijer Employer-based training if licensure is not required.
