PharMerica in Huntington, WV, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician Trainee for a closed-door, non-retail environment serving long-term care and senior living clients. Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:00am–2:30pm with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently and collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills prescription items accurately in accordance with state regulations and labels products for safety.
• Prepares medications including non-sterile compounding and supports sterile compounding per guidelines.
• Maintains sterile compounding rooms and workspace per USP 797 and company standards.
• Participates in inventory management, stocking shelves, and processing returns or disposal as required.
• Performs order entry for new and refill prescriptions with accuracy and proper documentation.
