Job summary

Hi-Desert Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to oversee all pharmacy technician staff under a licensed pharmacist. They will assist in the promotion and delivery of quality, safe, rational and effective pharmaceutical services to the patients, and health care practitioners of Hi Desert Medical Center.

The supervisor will maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications, and assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluation of pharmacy

Qualifications

• CA Pharmacy Technician Registration is required.
• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• 3-year hospital pharmacy experience or completion of an accredited technician school is required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Demonstrate good command of basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy technician staff under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluation of pharmacy technicians.
• Promote and deliver quality, safe, rational and effective pharmaceutical services to patients and health care practitioners.
• Maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications.
• Assist in regulatory compliance and process improvements.

Furthermore, he/she will maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications. They will also assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluation of pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications

Required

• CA Pharmacy Technician Registration
• High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
• 3-year hospital pharmacy experience or completion of an accredited technician school
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate good command of basic mathematical calculations

Preferred

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
• Bachelor's degree
• Automatic Dispensing Machine (Omnicell, Pyxis, etc) experience
• IV Experience
• Medication safety and med rec process
• CA Pharmacy Tech License
