Job summary

CAPS, part of the B. Braun Group of Companies in the U.S., is the nation’s largest network of outsourcing admixture pharmacies. The Pharmacy Technician will assist in preparing sterile IV medications in a 503A compounding pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

This part-time role requires Georgia licensure, aseptic training (training provided), and a high school diploma. The schedule is 9am-5:30pm on weekdays and some weekends; salary ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 per

Qualifications

• Georgia Board of Pharmacy-licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
• National certification via PTCB or NHA ExCPT preferred.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Aseptic processing training/experience desired; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Assists in setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of the work area as directed.
• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical QA testing.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Position Summary:

Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation of sterile IV medications in a 503A compounding pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

• Adheres to all CAPS policies and procedures
• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Assists in the setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.
• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.
• The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

• Requires working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization.

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

Required:

• REQUIRED: Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Georgia Board of Pharmacy
• Preferred: National Pharmacy Certification through PTCB or NHA ExCPT
• High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required.
• Aseptic processing training/experience desired, training will be provided.
• Schedule: Part time (9am-5:30pm) weekdays and weekends. Holidays/Overtime as needed.
• Salary range is $18.00-$23.00/hr

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
