Job summary

GRX Holdings, LLC in Knoxville, IA seeks a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to support Medicap Pharmacy up to 29 hours per week. No nights, Sundays, or holidays, with some scheduling flexibility.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, assisting the pharmacist under supervision, labeling, inventory, and customer service. Training is available; certification preferred but non-certified applicants will be considered with training. Benefits and sign-on opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technicians must be nationally certified and registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
• Non-certified technicians may be considered with training.
• Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision; 401k with company match.
• Sign-on bonuses offered: $1,000 for certified; $500 for non-certified.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and procedures including register performance, security issues, and confidentiality.
• Greet customers and answer questions.
• Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims).
• Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
• Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
• Undertake administrative tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all security measures and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
