Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, assists in the provision of pharmaceutical care to customers by verifying medication packaging and outcomes, practicing within state and federal regulations.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must be licensed Pharmacy Tech with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy or Oregon Board of Pharmacy, depending on the work location. National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT, or equivalent) preferred with less than 3 years of experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Assists pharmacists in preparing prescriptions, managing resources, dispensing, clerical, and billing duties. Ensures accurate documentation of services and supplies. Participates in quality assurance activities. Understands scope of practice and transports medications to and from patient areas. Maintains excellent communication and teamwork skills, adapting to institutional roles and schedules.
