Qualifications

• Working toward national technician certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Handle inquiries that do not require pharmacist expertise.
• Accept new written prescriptions and telephoned refill requests.
• Contact doctors for refills as needed.
• Gather and maintain accurate patient information for prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products.
• Prepare labels and mail prescriptions.
• Submit insurance claims and troubleshoot third‑party billing.
• File prescriptions after dispensing and report medication errors.
• Stock pharmacy supplies and log invoices.
• Perform cash transactions accurately.
• Administer vaccines as allowed by law with required certification.
• Maintain cleanliness and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Adhere to pharmacy regulations and work as a team.
• Support in other areas of the store as needed.
