Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist Pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. This role involves handling, packaging, and delivering pharmaceuticals, with proficiency across two or more pharmacy function areas.

Candidates must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Georgia and have at least one year of experience. Preferred candidates may be certified through PTCB or NHA.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
• Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.
• The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient).
• Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

PREFERRED:

1. Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
