Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician in Training registered with SD Board of Pharmacy within 30 days
• Certified Pharmacy Technician with Board Certification or approved training

Responsibilities

• Under pharmacist supervision, inputs and prepares labels and packages inpatient/outpatient medication orders to maintain an efficient, accurate delivery system.
• Communicates with nursing staff, physicians, customers, co-workers, supervisors and management to promote high-quality communication and prevent patient harm.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications, calculations, regulations, and safety practices to ensure quality patient care.
• Performs clerical functions including billing, patient demographics and pharmacy inventory.

Pharmacy Technician in Training - South Dakota Board of Pharmacy Registered within State requirements within 30 Days

Certified Pharmacy Technician - Board of Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician Board Certification or approved training/certification program
