Cook Children's Retail Pharmacy in Fort Worth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in delivering patient and staff pharmacy services. The role of the pharmacy technician is to assist pharmacists in providing professional pharmacy services to the patients and staff of Cook Children's Retail Pharmacy and the community we serve. Clerical tasks will encompass the process of recording, filing and reporting pharmacy activities and services. The technical tasks will be performed after experience is gained and necessary skills and competency demonstrated. All tasks will be performed under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Must be competent, with documentation on file, in pharmacy production areas: Inventory management, ordering, non-sterile compounding and insurance claim processing.
High School or Equivalent Required. Must have minimum 2 years of retail pharmacy experience with proficiency in medication preparation and dosage calculations, insurance processing, and inventory management. A basic knowledge of math, the metric system, chemistry, and medical terminology is essential. A general knowledge of office procedures such as filling and record keeping is essential. Good telephone skills and good oral and written communication skills are essential.
Current Texas State Board of Pharmacy Registration OR Texas Pharmacy Intern License.
