Qualifications
- Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
- Experience working across multiple pharmacy systems.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows.
- Excellent communication with patients, providers, payers, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Enter prescription orders accurately.
- Calculate dosing and directions as prescribed.
- Interpret prescription requirements and documentation.
- Verify insurance benefits and funding sources.
- Contact insurance companies regarding coverage issues.
- Assist walk-in patients and customers.
- Fill, package, and ship prescription orders as needed.
- Support inventory activities and stock put-away as needed.
- Operate the cash register and process payments as needed.
- Distribute medication orders accurately to patients.
- Conduct refill reminder and adherence calls to patients.
