UF Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II to support medication systems through preparation, compounding, packaging and delivery of medications. This role may involve IV preparation and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, Florida registered intern or technician license, and at least 6 months of technician experience. Strong math, customer service, organization, and teamwork are essential.
Inpatient pharmacy technicians are responsible for maintaining medication systems through preparation, compounding, packaging and delivery of medications. They may prepare IV medications and are tasked with maintaining an optimal environment for the preparation and storage of medications. They also assist the pharmacists in meeting all regulatory compliance requirements. The Pharmacy Technician II will have broader responsibilities in the pharmacy and other specialty areas. They will have responsibility in multiple areas maintaining medication systems through preparation, compounding, packaging, delivery of medications, verifying correct medication is selected for the automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) refill functions, and assisting in the training and education of other technicians. Pharmacy technician II will fulfill all responsibilities of Pharmacy Technician I.
