Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.

• Proficiency in use of applicable computer software.

Responsibilities

• Greets members at counter or over the telephone and verifies eligibility; accepts prescriptions.
• Enters prescription information into computer system and prints pharmacist labels.
• Receives payment per member's plan.
• Selects drugs from inventory and prepares medications.
• Prepares IV prescriptions and topical formulations.
• Attaches labels for pharmacist review and calls members for pickup.
