Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for a full-time second-shift position in Hospital Pharmacy. You will process and fill medication orders, deliver meds to nursing units, and assist pharmacists in daily operations.

The role requires Kentucky technician registration or national certification, with hospital experience preferred, and familiarity with automated dispensing systems and rounds.

Qualifications

• National Certification as a pharmacy technician or Pharmacy Intern license.
• Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration certificate for Pharmacy Technician.
• Pharmacy work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently processes and fills medication orders.
• Delivers medications from pharmacy to nursing units; returns items from nursing units as needed.

Hospital Pharmacy I Lexington, KY

The Department of Pharmacy Services of Baptist Health Lexington provides pharmaceutical services to patients across the continuum of care. These services include, but are not limited to verification of medication orders, drug distribution, sterile product preparation, hazardous drug preparation, and utilization of automated dispensing cabinets. In addition, decentralized pharmacists provide services such as management of pharmacy dosing consults, provision of drug information, therapeutic recommendations, and participation in daily multidisciplinary rounds.
