UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist by transcribing orders, preparing medications, and supporting operations. The Certified technician provides general support to the pharmacist by receiving, reviewing, compounding and dispensing medications. All work is carried out under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
Education Requirements:
None required as long as other position qualifications are met. Current enrollment in PharmD program if working as a registered pharmacy intern with NC Board of Pharmacy.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Registration as a technician with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program. If currently enrolled, an NCBOP Pharmacy Intern registration may be accepted.
CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA unless enrolled in a PharmD program; if enrolled, this can be waived for the duration of the PharmD program.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
