Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support safe medication use by assisting in preparation, distribution, and inventory management. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and delivers excellent customer service to patients and healthcare teams.

Under licensed pharmacists, you will label and verify orders, maintain stock, participate in quality checks, troubleshoot equipment, and help coordinate patient care through clear communication.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• PHAR-C certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure medication and supply availability.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff regarding medications and pharmacy services.
• Maintain records of medication orders, dispensing activities, and inventory transactions per hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including storage checks and safety compliance.
• Ensure pharmacy equipment is functioning and assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and health professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Stay current with pharmacy practices and participate in ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
