The role emphasizes maintaining medication stock, adhering to privacy requirements, and promoting pharmacy services to help improve patient health outcomes. Prior experience in a retail/community setting is valuable.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; state Retail/Community Practice experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude.
• Proficient typing and neat, legible handwriting.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medication from inventory.
• Input patient and prescription data into the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Handle paperwork related to prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medications.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
