Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho is seeking a Pharmacy Tech I to support pharmacists in ensuring accurate medication packaging and dispensing, under direct supervision. This full-time, rotating-shift role emphasizes patient care within state regulations.

You will perform prescription preparation, medication transport, billing support, and quality assurance activities while promoting teamwork and adaptable to institutional schedules.

Competenze

• Must be licensed Pharmacy Tech with Idaho State Board of Pharmacy or Oregon Board of Pharmacy, based on the state worked.
• National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent) preferred with under 3 years’ experience.

• Assists the pharmacist in preparing prescriptions, including various material resource management, dispensing, clerical, and billing duties.
• Revenue management: ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
• Participates in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Understands the limitations to performing certain responsibilities of a registered technician in dispensing medications and remains within the scope of practice.
• Transports medications to patient rooms or nursing medication rooms.
• Retrieves unused medications from patient rooms or nursing areas.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to create and foster a cooperative teamwork environment.
• Able to readily adapt to institutional roles and schedules.
