Job summary

Advocate Health’s Milwaukee site is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing, patient service, and medication delivery in a full-time role. You will gain experience with department information systems and automation used for dispensing and storage of medications.

The position requires a High School diploma and Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) within 2 years, or equivalent national credential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) within 2 years or NHA/CPhT within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Develops competence in preparing non-sterile products following USP and regulatory guidance.
• Enters medication orders and processes requests via computer systems.
• Handles phone calls from nurses, physicians, patients with timely resolutions or hand-offs.
• Adheres to pharmacy procedures and documentation per regulatory standards.
• Complies with USP, state, and DNV requirements.
