Job summary

Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include dispensing medications, nonsterile and sterile compounding, unit dosing, and maintaining pharmacy records.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, Texas Board of Pharmacy registration for Pharmacy Tech, and knowledge of basic medical terminology, pharmacy calculations, and computer systems.

POSITION SUMMARY

Works under direct supervision of the licensed pharmacist and/or Lead Pharmacy Technician are responsible for providing pharmacy services including but not limited to dispensing, nonsterile and sterile compounding, unit dosing, performing inventory control, out dating medications, unit inspections, compliance audits, and maintaining pharmacy records. Major responsibilities of the pharmacy tech may vary.

• Knowledge of basic medical and pharmaceutical terminology, basic pharmacy calculations/equivalents, and basic knowledge of computers required.
