Cincinnati Children's Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at the Burnet Campus in Cincinnati, OH. The role supports medication ordering, compounding, and inventory across Operating Room & Critical Care units. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with rotating shifts.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, OH Board registration, and PTCB certification with potential OH Board certification within 18 months. Prior pharmacy experience is valued and teamwork is emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Medication Orders - Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses; non-sterile, non-hazard dose prep; delivery of patient-specific doses; prepare and perform ADC replenishment.
• Compounding - Compounds non-sterile, non-hazardous medications.
• Phone Triage - Performs outpatient pharmacy phone triage.
• Medical Claims - Performs insurance adjudication.
• Inventory Management - Performs medication storage inspections and interfaces with hospital computer systems and dispensing machines.

$21.50-$24.62 + $2.00/hr shift and $1.50/hr weekend differential

What you'll do (what your day really looks like)

• Prepare and distribute medications accurately and efficiently
• Support medication delivery for patient-specific doses across units
• Replenish automated dispensing cabinets and maintain inventory
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications
• Collaborate with pharmacists and care teams to ensure quality and safety

This is hands-on, detail-driven work whereaccuracy, teamwork, and urgency matter.

How to qualify for this job:

• Have at least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience
• Pharmacy technician certification (or ability to obtain within 18 months)
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Inventory Management - Performs medication storage inspections. Interact with pharmacy automated dispensing machines and hospital computer systems as necessary.
