Meijer is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist customers under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performing administrative and service-based duties to keep our customers satisfied.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY; TRAINING PROVIDED. Previous cashier, customer service, pharmacy, health care or home care experience is a plus. Schedule Mon–Fri 8:00 am–8:00 pm; Sat–Sun 9:00 am–6:00 pm. Benefits include weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401K, education programs and parental leave.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or meets state requirements.
• Retail/customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient typing and basic math skills.
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks.
• Professional appearance and strong communication.

Responsabilités

• Retrieve medication from inventory.
• Input customer and prescription data into the pharmacy system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork for filling prescriptions and orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medication.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Prioritize workload and maintain a clean, professional pharmacy.

Work a schedule of Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday - Sunday between the hours of 9:00am - 6:00pm

What You'll be Doing:

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
