Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support automated dispensing machines and pharmaceutical care across the hospital.

The role requires 2 years of tech experience, HS diploma, and current PHRMTECH-R; PTCB preferred. You will coordinate automation upgrades and work with pharmacy staff to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of pharmacy technician practice including ADM experience.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician (PHRMTECH-R) required; PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that automated dispensing machines (ADMs) are used safely and efficiently for patient care.
• Coordinate and implement pharmacy automation upgrades and related solutions.
• Serve as SME for Pharmacy Technology and Automation Systems during projects.
• Work with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practices.
• Perform duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

Responsibilities

Ensures that the automated dispensing machines (ADMs) are being used efficiently and safely in the provision of pharmaceutical care to the patients as assigned. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Responsible for successful coordination, implementation and upgrades of pharmacy automation and technical solutions as assigned. Serves as subject matter expert of the product and implementation process for Pharmacy Technology and Automation Systems as assigned. Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Functions as needed in duties of a Pharmacy Technician.
