Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles into patient-centric positions, with apprenticeships and training to become a certified technician.

As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice in Utah, you will assist pharmacists, interact with customers, and participate in the training program that leads to PTCB certification, while building relationships with patients and learning the latest pharmacy systems.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred or required for promotion.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision by filling prescriptions and entering patient data.
• Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with patients.
• Maintain inventory, process third-party claims, and support the pharmacy team.
