Job summary

Walgreens is transforming pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centric, offering training and advancement opportunities through an ASHP & Department of Labor-recognized apprenticeship. You will work closely with pharmacists to support patient care, learn pharmacy systems, and build strong relationships with customers.

The program guides you toward PTCB certification as you gain on-the-job experience.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and other duties.
• Enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
• Assist with and coach others in the operation of pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Maintain accuracy and check for possible drug interactions and errors.
• Deliver a delightful customer experience and service to patients and customers.
• Support inventory management, ordering, unpacking and storage of pharmaceuticals.
