Job summary

Walgreens is transforming pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centric. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you’ll interact with customers, build relationships, and learn through an ASHP & Department of Labor recognized training program that leads toward PTCB Certification.

You will work under supervision to assist pharmacists, use pharmacy systems, and help ensure accurate dispensing while delivering excellent service to our patients and customers.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English and willing to work flexible hours.
• Experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Six months of retail experience is preferred and prior Walgreens exposure is a plus.
• Ability to count, measure and weigh medications with good math skills.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and related tasks.
• Enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Support inventory management including ordering, receiving, and stocking.
• Coordinate clinical services and communicate with healthcare providers as needed.
