Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centered. This position offers an opportunity to interact with customers, learn through an ASHP/DOL-recognised apprenticeship, and work under supervision to support pharmacists.

Apprentices will pursue PTCB certification while gaining hands-on experience with pharmacy systems, cash handling, and inventory management in a retail pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist with cashiers.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information accurately and review for interactions.
• Support inventory management and maintain store cleanliness and order.
