Job summary

The role includes training through an ASHP and Department of Labor approved program, earning PTCB certification, and developing skills in prescription processing, inventory management, and customer service under pharmacist supervision.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for filling prescriptions.
• Prefer computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
• Process prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications and entering patient information.
• Handle cash and operate cash registers; assist customers and provide service.
• Maintain inventory and assist with pharmacy clerical tasks.
• Support clinical services and coordination with providers as needed.
