Beacon Health System in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Tech Advocate to join Beacon Kalamazoo. You will support dispensing under pharmacist supervision, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate has Michigan Pharmacy Tech credential and strong communication and math skills. This is a full-time role with daytime shifts, potential overtime, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Tech credential from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy required prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Strong communication and mathematical abilities to compute fractions, ratios, percentages and totals.
• Effective interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with patients, families, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Restocks and maintains inventory for the Pharmacy department.
• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds.
• Prepares hazardous sterile and non-sterile compounds and preparations.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Triages calls and acts as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals.
