Job Opportunity: Pharmacy Tech 3 at University of Miami UHealth, SoLé Mia

The University of Miami UHealth at SoLé Mia, opening in September 2025, will bring high-quality academic medicine to North Miami, Aventura, and surrounding communities. Our expert team of physicians and staff will include specialties such as the NCI–designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Desai Sethi Urology Institute, and nationally ranked neurology and neurosurgery programs.

Position: Pharmacy Tech 3 in the Pharmacy Department at SoLé Mia

Core Job Functions

• Collect, input, and verify prescription, refill, and patient information; maintain patient records.
• Fill orders and prepare labels for pharmaceuticals.
• Implement inventory control and order supplies within regulatory guidelines.
• Anticipate medication dispensing needs.
• Perform hazardous, specialized, or advanced compounding, including chemotherapy, epidural, ophthalmology, CADD pumps, and TPNs.
• Serve as Pharmacy Technician Coordinator as needed.
• Cross-train in major department roles and responsibilities.
• Participate in taskforces or committees.
• Resolve prescription inquiries.
• Train students and new pharmacy technicians as a preceptor.
• Mentor and stay updated on pharmacy practices and regulations.
• Adhere to policies and safeguard assets.
