  • UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

  • The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, and non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.
  • Has the ability to participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality.
  • Does related work, as required.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 1 year previous hospital pharmacy technician experience.
  • National Certification (CPhT) (may be required by the state of employment).
  • Current BLS.
