Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support daily medication dispensing and customer service in a retail setting. You will input prescription data, prepare labels, and handle insurance claims while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required or equivalent.
• Retail/community practice experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Proficient typing, neat handwriting and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize, work well in a team, and maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Input customer and prescription information in the pharmacy system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medication and maintain a clean, professional area.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Prioritize workload and communicate effectively.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional appearance.
