Capstone Health in Gold Beach, Oregon, is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in their Oncology Center. You will support oncology pharmacy operations, prepare and handle hazardous medications, and collaborate with pharmacists and the oncology care team.

The role requires a current Pharmacy Technician license, hospital or clinical experience, and familiarity with USP guidelines for hazardous drugs.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license (preferably in hand at time of application).
• Recent hospital and/or clinical pharmacy experience required.
• Experience with USP hazardous drug handling and compounding required.
• Oncology pharmacy experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred.
• Need 1 year experience in setting.

Responsibilities

• Support oncology pharmacy operations, including preparation and handling of hazardous medications in compliance with USP standards.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and the oncology care team.
• Manage and compound chemotherapy and other hazardous medications.
• Provide support in a rural healthcare setting.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective preparation of medications, working closely with pharmacists and the oncology care team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting oncology pharmacy operations, including the preparation and handling of hazardous medications in compliance with USP standards
• Working collaboratively with pharmacists and the oncology care team
• Managing and compounding chemotherapy and other hazardous medications
• Providing support in a rural healthcare setting
