Job summary

Northeast Grocery in Oneonta, NY is seeking a Pharmacy Teammate to assist pharmacists with prescription preparation, customer service, and accurate data entry in a busy retail pharmacy.

You will handle dispensing tasks, process orders, follow all laws and policies, operate the pharmacy computer, cash register, and related equipment, and help maintain a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math functions.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions such as retrieving medications, counting, pouring, labeling and pricing.
• Provide a friendly, helpful, easy, and safe shopping experience for all customers.
• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Pharmacy operations, safety, and sanitation.
• Enter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, complete all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy.
• Process orders including filling prescriptions and accepting payment.
• Fulfill general housekeeping duties.
• Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist pharmacists in the preparation of prescriptions. Such as retrieving medications from shelves, count or pour medications, label containers, and price prescriptions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age.
