Job summary

The Resource Center in Jamestown, NY, seeks an Allied Health Assistant to support the pharmacy and orthocare departments. You will handle prescriptions, assist patients, process payments, and help with billing under the Supervising Pharmacist.

This role requires an associates degree or a high school diploma with two years in a medical setting, valid driver's license, and strong communication, confidentiality, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree; or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years in medical, pharmacy, DME or related setting.
• Valid driver's license or equivalent accommodations required.
• Excellent interpersonal/organizational skills and knowledge of medical terminology and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with dispensing and data entry per NYS guidelines.
• Aid patients in person and by phone with courteous, confidential service.
• Collect payments and manage daily bank deposits and records.
• Support billing procedures for Medicaid/Medicare and other third parties.
• Maintain inventory; place orders with vendors and organize stock.
• Package prescriptions using unit-dose systems and manage supplies.
