Qualifications

• Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to work professionally with patients and staff.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and other third‑party insurance procedures.
• Experience with pharmacy workflows, billing, and confidentiality requirements.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform data entry and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions following NYS Board of Pharmacy guidelines for unlicensed personnel.
• Assist patients in person and by phone in a courteous and confidential manner.
• Handle payments for prescriptions and maintain related records, including daily deposits.
• Assist in pharmacy billing procedures, including Medicaid, Medicare and other third‑party payors.
